Trends in QA Testing

The past year has been full of developments for QA testing. There have been three new trends which were noticed in the past year. These are:

1. Trend one: Integrated Testing- The organizations integrate testing in the lifecycle of development. So it has led to QA integration. Thus IT departments have been standardizing the methods of testing. In this case, Agile testing methodology is quite popular. These options for integration are better with the help of automation tools. Currently, automation is used for unit and load testing as compared to earlier times where it was restricted to regression testing.
2. Trend two: Independent software testing- Businesses outsource their testing due to high costs. So to reduce costs companies are seeking a third party for testing the application. So independent software testing remains the core issue as the company needs to cut down on the cost and improve the efficiency of the testing process. So this has become a big concern for the company.
3. Trend three: Crowdsourced testing: It helps in reducing the cost of testing by paying only the testing process which is effective. So company pays only for the bugs that have been discovered during the process and not for the entire testing process. Thus the testing process is not restricted to the development cycles. This has led to effective cost control for the organization.

Since technological innovations and development have led to impossible demands for the software testing teams. But QA must catch up with the latest trends and ensure consumer satisfaction. Crowdsourced testing remains the exciting innovating field for software testing.
