Hitachi Data systems as per the new acquisition of data integration have released a new update for the platform for SAP HANA and Amazon Elastic MapReduce (EMR). The director of big data marketing at Pentaho has said this is all about future proofing big data environments. They are really proud to future proof these investments. The latest Pentaho 5.4 focuses on these three key elements:
· Deployment of Big Data on Cloud
· Blending of the entire data across the enterprise
· Customer must be comfortable about the scaling and growing of the Hadoop environment.
New capabilities in Pentaho 5.4:
Pentaho 5.4 has helped the customers to use Amazon EMR to design and transform the data and execute the Hadoop MapReduce in-cluster on EMR. This has given companies the method by which they can operationalize the data refinery architecture for on demand data sets. Cloud deployment has been supported by Hadoop in the past years. To support an entire Amazon AWS instance full ability has been opened. The data is pushed into EMR and this data is processed at scale inside Hadoop with the help of data integration on Pentaho.
Pentaho 5.4 has also added an interface from Pentaho Data Integration (PDI). This integration into SAP HANA has been done at the request of large number of customers. It has also governed data delivery across multiple sources which are structured and unstructured.
Big data at scale
There is a feature of integration with SAP HANA and Amazon EMR, the Pentaho 5.4 has also released capabilities around big data analytics and orchestration. The new capabilities include:
· Apache spark has been Integrated of PDI
· New APIs have simplified business applications and processes
· The capability to localize in different languages.
