ZaranTech TrainingPolitics has been a part of an organization. In long term career one must earn, accept and understand it. So how to gain political intelligence in this case:

Create allies of network: Strong relationships must be built on respect and trust. The allies can help and support you.

Stay true to values. Try to be a model of integrity in the place where people may do anything to win. Do not play underhanded games to rise in your career.

Sharpen your influence. Try to operate on autopilot mode, try to learn more about the organization, its concerns and priorities.

Do your best job. An intelligent worker tries to do things in best way. Only small percentage of people gets their job done well.

Perform acts of kindness. It’s better to help others as kindness is remembered for long time.

Don’t take part in gossip. People with political intelligence tend to avoid being a part of gossips. When they hear something they just ignore it. Gossiping can only damage your own integrity and credibility.

Lead with respect. Try to show respect to others. This demonstrates their value and importance. Try to make them realise that what they do does matter. Respect breeds respect. Others will respect you only when you respect them.

Try to have political intelligence and be a change for good. Philosopher Plato has said, “One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.”

If you don’t play politics with integrity and intelligence and integrity, you may not have say in what happens. Thus these unwanted elements try to control and dominate your life. Be an inspiration to your team members and try to avoid unnecessary politics in office place. Try to keep the office space healthy and friendly.
