Hortonworks have released a new version for their Hadoop Data platform. Big Data Hadoop has undergone few updations with enhanced security and other features. The company released the new version with 100 new features which consists of Apache distribution and Hadoop. Hadoop 2.2 has a new feature to support Apache Kafka on Yarn. The new feature has introduced automatic back up for Amazon S3 and Microsoft to cloud. Kafka is fault tolerant, high scale, publish subscribing message system.

Apache Argus helps in providing policy enforcement and security administration to various components inside Hadoop. Now the features include optimization of SQL and leads to high performance.Hence these updates have made Hadoop an interesting area of study.
