Google had announced the launch of Android L. There are plenty of features that are cool with this release. Some things have been added, deleted and changed for the customers.
Do Not Disturb Mode:
This has silenced the incoming notifications. Earlier Android could not block all the notifications, but now with Android L all these settings can be changed. For this open “Quick Settings “and on the notification toggle one can enable Do not Disturb mode. For a period of time silent period can be activated. The notifications can be turned on after a period of time.
Search within the Settings App:
With this feature one can search for Obscure setting within the setting app. The setting app has a lot of functionality, so one must know what he is looking for. The app is equipped with search box. The settings is helpful for features like colour selection etc.
Estimate Time for the battery to get depleted:
Battery saving has been the coolest feature of Android L. Android L shall estimate the time after which the battery shall get depleted. When the device is plugged in the lock screen shall show how long will it take for the device to reach 100%. When unplugged it shall show the duration after which the battery shall die. Thus the battery life shall depend on the usage and battery saver settings.
Customize Your Display
The feature of auto brightness will not work for everyone. So with Android L , Google has introduced the feature of adaptive brightness which shall combine both the auto and manual mode of brightness. This way screen preference can be set.
Android Beam is easier to use:
In Android L the Android Beam can be transferred via share menu. This helps to share files from the user device. Hence time to keep the two devices together has been reduced.
