Android wear changing the method of travel

Category: General Posted:Jul 08, 2015 By: admin

AndroidSmartphones have led to transformation in the way we travel. Android travel apps have made travelling comfortable. Android Wear has improved the trip and helped in planning a trip in a better manner.  These are some features of Android wear:

  1. Google Maps has moved to the wrist:

This Android Wear has native Google Maps. It is much stronger watch app. Android Wear has improved the accessibility for launching apps. When we tap the pin icon we can get a scrollable list of the nearby places. Foursquare and FieldTrip helps to find out about the road that is travelled less. The app shall direct you to places that you might otherwise not have considered in your pre-planning.

  1. Travel help has moved the smaller screen

Android Wear excels in showing an alert regarding the availability in the hotel as compared to full blown hotel search. As full blown hotel search from a watch would be difficult. There is a dedicated app for the same. Thus we will have our reservations on our Gmail with the help of Google Now’s capabilities.

Many of the airlines have built Wear integration that will act as a bar code on your watch and will serve as your boarding pass. You’ll also be able to see gate information. You may also get updates about any departure changes. Google Now will read this information from Gmail. The apps for Delta, KLM and American Airlines will push these details to Android watch from their Android apps. Google does plenty more functions, like restaurant reservations, weather and keeping tab for TV shows. As we know Android Wear is rather new as a platform, so the coming future shall bring more watch integration from stealth newcomers and large apps. And Google is trying to build its own service, which will be launched with Android App. So be prepared for a new adventure.
